I made one more avoidable error, as we were installing the wrist pin clip I forgot to cover the hole with a rag, I mentioned it to my buddy who almost had it in place and he said don't worry I got it. You can guess what happened next, well a good magnet on a stick kept me from puking. Other than that all was smooth and this was avoidable but crap does happen.

I might also mention I have the Dynojet kit and I had the recommended stage 2 set up which was about perfect as I had a very clean engine when apart. I went to a 132 main and a 38 pilot 2 turns out and it seems real good, so far I have not adjusted anything but it did idle at 1000rpm and I turned it to 1200. I will play with it as I go. I also reread Mark's instructions on his manual cam chain adjuster.

Where would I find the number of my kit as nothing was mentioned in the paperwork that I saw. Is it on the block off plate as with a car and a truck five bikes and two fourwheelers in the garage I couldn't get to it tonight. I did add 20 more miles before I put it up and in looking over the paper work Bill says the revs may be increased after 100 miles. On the stock motor I did the moto-tune type break-in but on the big bore I am going to follow his suggestions.

I have to say that after making the above changes it is indeed a new animal compared to what I rode when I bought it. The added displacement made the biggest gain and the carb helped responsiveness but the 101 cams are just icing on the cake-pulls to 9500 and really jumps after 4500.

Hope she doesn't grenade on me again....

I got over 100 miles on it today and have ran it thru the rev range. I went with a 38 pilot and am 2 turns out on the screw. I had the dynojet kit 2152 in for a few years and left the needle alone all seems good in that area as the bike leaps off idle and really pulls hard to about 8000 rpms. I think I may still be lean on the main as above 8000 it's a little flat. I went with the 132 jet in the kit and want to try a size larger but that was the largest one in the kit. Over all it's really good, it was 87 degrees here today and I had no issues with heat and ran it pretty hard. It does warm up faster than stock, and one other thing I think I must get used to is the increase in engine braking as it's nearly doubled.

Yeah my engine brake breaks my rear tire loose when I'm trying to stop, it can be a big scary when you expect to stop but you just slide.

I doubt your lean, mine pulls to about 8-8.5k then signs off. Its either a cam issue or a valve size issue. I'm leaning more towards needing more breathing i.e larger valves

I'm pretty sure I'm still lean on the main otherwise it's perfect, anybody know what keihin jet equates to a 134 dynojet. I think with proper jetting it will pull hard all the way to the red line.

I may be wrong but main jet isnt top end, its full throttle. If you go full throttle and it pulls hard in every gear then in every gear at 8k rpm it starts to feel less powerful I dont think its a jetting issue.
