Correct feed for KLX250SF wiring, cables, hoses??? (pics inside)
#12
Thanks. I moved the tank hoses to below the Petcock line and in front of the heat sink. But above the line would probably be better for choke access. I'm going to leave the emissions control equipment in place because I care about air quality
I took the tank off and did some work moving hoses and cables around. From the pictures I found, the spark plug, radiator sensor, and horn wires are all in the correct place. Same goes for the emissions control hoses.
On the right side of the tank, stock pictures show the throttle cables above the display wiring whereas on my bike they were below. I think this was adding tension to the cable, but fixing it would be difficult. When the tank was off, I moved the wiring connection for the radiator fan and this stopped the display wiring from pressing on the throttle cable a little bit.
I also had to move a few other hoses that fed from the carb as they were close to the exhaust. It also looks like one of the orange lines was cut at some point so I'll have to replace that.
Lots to fiddle with but I guess that's the price you pay when you get a neglected, dropped bike. Good thing it only came with 600 km!
PS If anyone in California wants to send me their catalytic converter I will happily take it off your hands)
