How to take off front wheel?
#5
I have to say if it is that serious an issue to remove the front wheel you might have someone else do it.
Simple to do:
I think I got everything there.
Simple to do:
- Loosen axle pinch clamp nuts
- Loosen and remove axle
- remove speedo drive and move it out of the way.
- spacer will drop out on brake side
- roll wheel out.
- do whatever you need to do
- wedge brake pads apart with a large screwdriver or other tool to get clearance for the rotor to fit back in easily.
- roll wheel into position, put spacer in place maybe with some grease to kind of stick it in there
- fit speedo drive
- line everything up and slide axle in
- torque axle
- pump front brake up again
- bounce the front end a few times to get everything settled in place
- tighten the clamp cap nuts - I think the top ones are tightened fully clamping at the top, then the bottom are torqued.
I think I got everything there.
