Default ZZR 600 (D2) 1992 Help Needed Please !!

Hi,i have trouble with my zzr600 D2 1991 Kawasaki,i have left it standing for 7 Yrs(due to unmissable round the world trip,buying a house,making babies,etc,etc,lol)the problem is it wont idle under 2 thousand revs,i have changed the oil,stripped the carbs down(not changed 'O' rings only 11 thousand miles on clock,,)cleaned out carb jets,flushed out petrol tank,still goto change coolant and spark plugs,,any help would be greatly accepted,many thanks,,,,,

Can any 1 help me,,i have now changed spark plugs,still no better,i think that the carbs might need a COMPLETE strip down and rebuild,,,any more help greatly accepted !!!!! ?????

It is very difficult to troubleshoot withjust the info you provided.Try to 'read' the spark plugs. Are they getting fouled? Does it flood? Isthe bike working fine at crusing speed?Check the fuel filter. I am guessing you have good fuel but a little dirt may affect the fuel flow at low rpm's.

Good news everyone,i have sorted my bike problem,stripped the carbs down,found the pilot jets blocked(forgot to clean these first time rounds,,ooops!)now idleing ok,(although the rev needle jumps up and down a little,but i think this will be sorted when i get the carbs balanced),and its riding ok,,well its all road worthy now,and ready for an M.O.T,carnt wait to get back riding it again,,,any one got any suggestions for a nice stickey front tyre for my zzr 600,i hav a perelli on the front(needs changing soon)and a new-ish michelin on the the rear,any input greatly accepted,,,thanks,,,

I have a zzr 600 (06) and I LOVE my new pilot powers. I hear I wont get alot of miles out of them though. Ill see.
