Default 1992 ZX 600-D could use some tech advice.

I am currently involved in a 1992 ZX600-D project.
Got the bike runing great, (Needed carb clean real bad) but the frontend was bull****ed together with a CBR KYB frontend..weight was too much "On" the front wheel and when rolling on the power it just burned out and almost went out of controll.. So i have purchased a 85 GPZ1100 frontend in hopes it would fit..well almost 1/4 inch too tall [:@]... Tried to get a bearing that slides over the stock stop but cannot find one...Anyone have a good source for a triple tree for this bike? or Frontends that will go right on with little Bull ****ting....Not looking to spend an arm and a leg and i donot like clipons..Like the stock riding position..
Also what year parts are interchaingeable with this bike?

thanks,
Harry

haha, ok.
thanks anyways though...

I tried the Triple tree from a GS750 and it fit but the screw top did not fit right....bike has to sustain at least a few 100+ RIPS...

wow, I am not sure either. I used a few zx parts from my '87 +'88 for my '90 zx7 without issues. I prefer the clip ons. I have not looked at that mod.

Yeah the KYB frontend was wicked sketchy... and wasnt comfortable, felt like a Gorilla humping a football...
And the forks were hittin the radiator fill..

I guess parts from 91 aluminum frame bikes to 98 fit?
gonna be tacking on some seriouse milage on this bike this summer, need it to be relyable..
Ride to NY, NH, VT, ME....

Although tube diameters change with the winds along with different engine configurations, I would try checking out KYB for some more info. Dimensions, etc.

well i got a frontend on ebay got it all mounted up and it looks nice.. had some engine trouble, cleaned the carbs and now it idles perfectly but has a studder at 5-6 x1000 rpm like its getting too much fuel...
What function do the small screws on the bottom of the carb serve? I have them ajusted at 3 1/2 what it was ajusted to when i dismanteld it...was thinking of ajusting them to 3 turns.... When i place my hand over the airbox intake and rev the engine it dosnt studder at all...Other than this the engine runs nice and sound.. all electrics work..

If the diameter is correct, and it's only 1/4" too long, you'll probably be able to ride it without much problem.
I don't know how long your standard forks are so I can't check and see if a zx10 would fit.

Im ready to ebay this lumpandgo buy a RD 400, this bike has the worst temprerment i have ever seen in a machine....I can usually get things running but this bike has me baffled.....

Wont even run now... just stopped running. has great spark and the carbs are clean...still seems like not enough fuel....i upped the jetting and raised the needles 1 clip...still nada...
I am missing the vacum lines...do i need these?? missing the emissions canister as well....

No vacum pipe will make a lot of difference, if you you put it on prime it should run, but it will better with the vacuum pipre on it, the petcock won't open and let the fuel get to the carb otherwise.
