It sucks but such is life! Having snowed a couple of days ago and more in the forecast, I did not have any choice but to "park" my baby for a few months. Filled up the tank, put in the fuel stabliizer, let the engine run for 10 minutes, and pulled out the battery for storing in a warm area of my house. Also, lifted my bike off the ground using the front and rear stands, and lastly, covered it up to keep the dust off. I surely will miss riding and can hardly wait for the spring/summer months to come.

 

That sucks man. I guess the winter is a little worse up there, no riding for months...ouch! I don't even store mine, it is just a matter of braving the cold in the times when there is no snow or ice.

 

haha i see you from fairfield, im just a little south of you in dayton and i can't "brave" the cold worth a damn now... 45 degrees daaamn thats cold

 

Just when I "stored" my baby did the weather improve... damn! The temperature here now reads anywhere from +5-9 degrees Celsius and sunny for the next 4 days, which I can easily take. But since I'm so lazy to undo what I just did, I'll just have to wait until next year's riding season.

 

As long as there is no snow or ice I ride in to work when it is 25 or above. I try to keep it to above 40 in the morning if I can. Come on man, it is worth it because the road is yours.

 

Gotta agree with you Rick it's getting cold and everyone at work keeps asking me when will be my last day on the bike and they don't believe me when I say the only thing that will keep me off of it is the rain or snow. KEEP ON KEEPIN' ON

 

im sure you guys are the ones i see riding around and i think to myself " to bad my bikes in storage "

 

Yep, I feel angry when I puss out and see someone else on the bike.

 

Nothing but snow keeps me off of my bike. If it rains, I get wet. If it's cold, I get cold. But then again, I don't have a car any more. It's worth it though.

 

i rode in today in the freezing fog just for the fun of it
