I'm having a heck of a time finding things like frame sliders, fender eliminator kits, windshields, exhaust, etc. For my 2006 ZZR 600. Anybody have any luck. The websites I check don't even carry ZZR anything. What gives??

 

Well, I've got good news for you. The 05-06 ZZR600's are the EXACT SAME BIKE as the 00-02 ZX-6R's. In fact, if you've looked at your owners manual you've probably noticed that it says ZX-6R on it. There are only some slight cosmetic differences (e.g. the front fairing brace), but as far as engine, windshields, exhaust, sliders, and eliminators, anything made for the 00-02 ZX-6R will fit your bike. Not too many places make color-matched parts yet, but you'll usually get a better match by custom painting it anyway.

And a note about sliders for our bike (I've got an '05)... To get a decent slider, you'll have to get the ones where you cut your fairing and you'll even have to have a hole in your coolant bottle. The reason is that otherwise the bolt you'll use to hold on the slider will be a dinky little thing that will most likely snap if you drop it anyway. So, if you're taking it to the track, do yourself a favor and get the "real" sliders. If not, then no-sliders would probably be better than the dinky little ones.
