i would say that if ure looking at a 250 to stunt go with an older one... no need to spend the 4K+ the new ones are goin for when you can get one for 1500 that will do the same thing, a nicer looking bike wont help you stunt haha

No a nicer looking bike wont, but this is going to be my daily bike first, stunt bike later. Im going toTRY and wait till next year to start with the stunting. Hopefully by then the 250 will have been paid off and I can get me a 600 or 750 gsxr and the little 250 wont be my only or pirze bike so I wont care as much if it gets banged up.

I was aasking the question in relation to the power, braking and handling, I dont want a 15 inch sprocket in the rear either. Like I was wondering would I need to get a dual disc setup for the front brakes if I wanted to try endos, ect ect.

I also want to prove a point to a couple of people that are saying 250's are for puzzys and have them looking stupid when they cant keep up or do half the stunts I can on their 600's

oooo ok i understand now i thought you were purchasing for that reason haha, with enough practice you could stunt anything but when you are doing serious stunting you might need a larger rear sprocket which would hurt your top end... with a 600 or 750 this is not a big deal if your still riding it on the road becaue instead of a top speed of 160 it might be 130 (have no clue what the actual numbers would be), but if you do it to a 250 where the top end is 120 (???) a big sprocket might make it impractical for highway travel

I'm not a stunter but I ride w/ a bunch and have come to the conclusion that the guys that can stunt (whellies etc.) at slower speeds and sustain the stunt are MUCH harder than when the bike is at speed 30-45. As you'll learn from just riding the bike becomes more stable as the speed increases. But more power to you for wanting to prove a point but just know that if you're racin some buddies through twisties/high speeds and you're on a 250 and there bikes are 600+ you won't stand a chance if you're all of the same riding ability. That's where you're dedication comes in good luck and we need pix fo those wheelies!!!

if you wanna rock slow stuff, you NEED a fuel-injected bike. hands down. the euro-spec 250 IS EFI, but the U.S. spec 250 has a pair of Keihin carbs. go figure..

now, there are cats out there rockin the baby ninjas and doing all the stuff the guys on bigger bikes do. hell, i did a stunt show with Legion Stunt Team's Ed 1000 last year, and had fun mimicing his rolling-stoppie-to-crush-a-pepsi-can trick.. i did it on a honda xr 50. albiet i was only rollin stoppies 30-50 feet instead of 90, but still, size doesn't really matter.

anyway, i know stuntin this bike CAN be done. i've seen it.

you WILL need to gear up.. you don't have to install a 70-tooth sprocket (i call em dinner plates.. they're about the size of one) but i'd say go down 2 or 3 and up 10-15 maybe..2/15 will give you 21 up. (1 tooth [on the drive sprocket] = 3 [on the driven])

it really makes a HUGE diffeence in clutching up and controlablility in general. very smooth, consistent wheelies and more power to maintain balance point. comes up nice and slow and beautiful.

problem is i'm not sure who makes any accessories for the bike for stunting.. i make custom cages and stuff, but i don't have a CNC (yet) to make sprockets.. i'm sure the bolt pattern is shared tho with other bikes.. theres gotta be a sprocket that transfers to the 08 250..

other than just goin out and doin it and makin in happen on a carb'd bike, i don't know what else to say.. lol other than i agree with ahuffy about postin some sickazz pics.

It can be done, but it's going to make everything a whole lot more difficult. Having that extra power on tap to help lift the front wheel makes a big difference. However, the difference in weight should make it easier for anything done on the front wheel.
