RE: Knee Dragging?
First off, I never recommend dragin' on the streets because of you know why. Too many unknowns out there for safety. I don't care if you have the best bike out there and drag on the streets, something eventually will bite you.
I found that reading Codes books help some, but the actual deal is to play on track days and get instruction. I will guarantee you that lessons learned from riding in a set environment, being observed, taped and then riding again will totally overwhelm what you thought of yourself as a fast rider. You will dig the experience.

RE: Knee Dragging?
not much into pushing it on the street but if you must, find a clover leaf on the highway at night when there aren't many cars. if you can find one without gaurd rails you'd be better off. take a trip around slow to check the road to make sure there aren't any unknowns on the road. then start picking up the pace to get the tires warm. after you've made a few trips around, start laying into it. that's the best way to push things if you're knew at draging stuff. but your better to do it on the track than the street
