09 grip recall

Default 09 grip recall

man im on my 2nd pair of grips for some reason they keep loosening up just the clutch side. i cleaned the bars up real good roughed them up used grip glue they lasted 20 minutes on the trail today.i really dont fell like going to the dlr but im baffeld here.im gonna replace the bars down the road.

Use wire.

Same thing happened to mine. As CousinLarry suggests, wire fixes it.

yes, some 09s where recalled do to grips loosening.

Just get some thickish fuse wire etc and use a pair of pliers to tighten it around the grip. Holds it tight onto the handlebars. Be careful on the throttle grip side though - not too tight or you'll damage the throttle tube.
Only my left side grip was loose, however.
