This is actually one of the first web page tricks ever.... from way back.
It starts with the 6 cards. After you choose 1 it displays 5 and yours is suddenly missing.
The number of cards doesn't matter however... watch:
First 6:
KH JC KS QD QC JD
second 5:
QH KC JH QS KD
NONE of the cards are the same as in the first 6.
