went on another today. about 40 miles! saw a flipped truck out on a highway. that looked bad. got new gear (courtesy of my girlfriend) got a frank thomas jacket with insulated liner and some alpine star gauntlet style gloves. but my toes are still cold!

I ride no matter how cold it is. That's what layers are for. Actually, I tend to chicken out at about 25*.

Yeah, but the windchill factor at 80mph and 25* ambient temp is BRUTAL!

 

i agree, i went out today in 34 degree weather with my new gear on. and i could only ride 6 miles and had to go home. the other day i rode 40 miles only stopping twice to warm my fingers up and it was 39 out. idk.

 

I have taken a few cold rides but they would have been a lot more fun if the roads here were half as sweet and curvy as those roads. I have to drive all the way across town for a 3 turn half mile "twisty".

 

lol thats a country road. its awesome. and im gonna ride tomorrow.
