I was lucky as a kid, my dad co-signed on his brothers truck and ended up reposessing it cause he wouldnt make any payments. So my brothers and I got to share a 9 year old white S-10 with a black camper and were damn proud to have it.

I'm one of six kids, and I had to pay for my own first car, which ended up being a total lemon, and I had to resell in my first year of college... and I've been striving to get a bike for years now. I've been estranged from my family and living on my own since it was legal for me to do so. I even took up a second full-time job waitressing by night. This bitch will never know what it's like to struggle to put food in your mouth, to never go out clubbing or to movies or to dinner or take vacations or have cable because it costs too much. To scrimp and scrounge and eat generic food out of cans, buy the cheapest of everything--no name-brand clothing or even toiletries... to shop at .99 cent stores because you need every last red cent to go towards the mode of transport you want. [Or hell, a mode of transport of your own at all.] To only be able to afford one passion at a time. To work 16 hours a day, and have to clean your own damn apartment (and live in a ghetto neighborhood) and run errands and just bide whatever time you get to sleep that you can. She'll never have to ride a bus, or miss the company of someone she cares about because she can't afford to go and visit them. To lose a pet and not be able to have another one because it's too costly. To go without medical care because the current system of government really ****s over white females (and males, too!) who don't have a kajillion kids, are -gasp- single, not in the military, or are otherwise disabled, but still working the blue-collar jobs that are the backbone of this country.
