^ No joke. Plus warped rotors, streched chains, etc....
It is cool to be able to hold and maintain a controlled slide, or drift. Of all the times I have tried, I was only able to pull one good one off. It felt awesome!!! lol

^ ha ha....
Well the time when it worked out good, it was more accident than anything, but it gave me some new experience and pointers...
A friend of mine has a zook, and he thought it could outrun my 10.... I live out in the county, east of town. Very LITTLE traffic, etc, but anyway.... It starts off as a straight stretch of good 2 line blacktop. We started from there. The road is perfectly straight for about 2.5 miles.... We left, I had the lead from the get go,and maintained it, but did not know by how much, so I kept the wrist turned. Now after this 2.5 miles of straight road, it goes into a 25 mph 90 degree left, then straight for a 1/2 mile a 25mph 90 right...
I was HAULING..You can imagine. 2.5 miles of locked wrist... I knew the turn was coming, I have taken it a 1000 times... BUt I was going faster then usual also... I braked hard... I mean hard.. Had no choice. The turn came up faster than I expected. Well, the rear locks up just entering the turn.... SHe starts sliding, my front whell is turned right, and I am drifting left. Awesome. I don't know why, but I had this thought of my buddy catching up to me, and I couldn't have that, so I gun it about half way thru the turn, now I have the *** sliding form acceleration in stead of brake. About 85-90% of the turn, she grabs, and I power wheelie a slight out of her... I peek at the speedo, and she says 90mph coming out. ....
I pull myself over at the pull off, and He is nowhere to be found. I get worried thinking he biffed it. NOPE...here he comes. He asks me, "where the F did you go?" lol lol..... He couldn't believe how fast and how much lean I had thru that turn. And of course, I couldn't tell him it was an accident!!! lol
It almost seemed in slow motion at the time. I have not brought my self to take that turn that fast again... I usually take it around 45-50 mph.... So call it part luck, part skill, part "what the F was I thinking" lol lol
But, at least I know I could outrun his liter class zook... Not that I would encourage anyone..Or do that again myself. But every now and then, a wild hair comes along
Just that everything worked.... YOu know how you have those days, the shifting is wierdly smooth, the winds are calm, and it's just you and a machine.... Just one of those days.
