Hi boys and girls.
Because of too many projects in my garage, I've decided to sell my 1998 ZX11D. I am the second owner, and like the original owner, I am an older guy (52y/o) that takes pride in his toys and maintains them well.
A few details. She has 47K miles on her (I've put less than 2K miles on her since I bought it in March.) It has ALL the maintenance and upgrade records from the day she was new. It has a Corbin seat, black windscreen, a full Micron 4-into-1 (carbs rejetted and dialed in on a dyno). The original owner installed a 2-tooth smaller rear sprocket to improve gas mileage. Mileage averages 45mpg. The mileage is highway miles travelling the highways of north and west Texas. The chain/sprockets and tires are in excellent shape.
The bike has NEVER seen rain; & has always been hand-washed (never hosed down), it has never been raced or even redlined; it has never been down. There isn't a blemish on her.
Back in March I "thought" I wanted a sport-touring machine and decided on this jewel of a long distance jet. Since then I've realized that I don't have the time or desire to take long bike trips. I've also come to realize that I'm more of a naked bike guy. I also own a 2001 ZR-7S, and am in the process of building a streetfighter based on a 1974 Kawasaki Z1 (KZ900/1000). The Z1 project has been three years in the making. It's taken entirely too long, so I want to get the bike finished. I plan on using the capital from the sale of the ZX to get this project on the road.
My asking price is $3000 firm. It is too nice a bike to let it go for less. I'm sure you can understand that. Yea the mileage is kind of high, but if this bike is ridden and maintained like it has been from day one, I don't see why one couldn't put another 30-40K miles on her w/o any engine issues what-so-ever. One more thing, even with the smaller rear sprocket this bike is scary FAST! It just pulls and pulls and pulls! Yea Man!
