It's a 1997 Kawasaki Ninja EX500. I bought this from the second owner which makes me the third and had it for only one season. I've had the carbs cleaned and the oil changed twice in the 4 months I owned it. It has a Vance & Hines 2 to 1 exhaust but no jets for the carb. Because of this it surges at a constant high RPM. I drove it like this for 4 months fine with no problems. These jet kits are very easy to find and inexpensive. Other than this the motorcycle runs like new. Everything works...headlight, brights, blinkers, brakelight, parking lights, plate light, handlebar lock, etc. It only has 5911 miles. I had the windshield tinted black, rims striped red and the rear fender eliminated for a better look.
The motorcycle was dropped on the right side at a low speed by the previous owner.The front fairing cracked and was fixed so it could be rode. A few scratches on the rear as well. This motorcycle needs tires and brake pads.

The helmet matches the bike and is a size medium. I bought it for $200 and has a few scratches on it. I will sell the helmet seperately for $100.

I'm selling because i need a beater car forschool and my camaro doesnt do the trick with 11mpg. I would be more than happy to show this motorcycle in person. The bike is located in New York. Can arrange a delivery, if not far. I'm asking 1,300 obo w/ helmet or 1,200 w/o helmet. Thankyou Tom.
