Default 2005 Kawasaki ZX6-R 636, street fighter $4000.00

2005 Kawasaki ZX6-R 636, street fighter $4000.00

I’m the original owner, bought it new in 2005 from Fun Bike Center. Currently ONLY 6890 miles. Converted to striped down street fighter style 3 years ago, NOT because it was crashed, but due to my back problems I wanted a different ridding position… and I was bored, I like to wrench on things. It has never been raced, never stunted, never been in an accident and runs absolutely perfect. Strictly used for commuting back and forth to work, although I did take it up to the mountains a few times.. 8/3/11 I took it in to Stark Cycles. They thoroughly went through the bike, head to tail. I have paper work to show every thing has been inspected and is in great running order.

I still have the original tail fairing with integrated LED tail light and solo seat cowl, which will be included in the sale. The other fairings have been sold, but all mounting brackets are still there if you wanted to get new fairings. It has many bolt on high performance parts: LED tail/brake light and blinkers (front & back), Supermoto style headlight, Supermoto stye 7/8in handle bars, bar mount side view mirrors, Derlin extended frame sliders, Derlin swing arm spools/sliders, fiberglass Race tail (custom painted to match stock color), billet gas cap, GPR Thunder line exhaust (with EFI light fix), DynoJet Power Commander (programmed with custom map, USB fuel tuner), steel braided brake lines (front & back), Woodcraft starter cover, Pazzo shorty brake and clutch levers, custom rear tire hugger, BMC air filter (2 months old), new Interstate battery and both tires (Battlax BT016)(f.120/70ZR17M/C)(r.180/55ZR17M/C) have less then 60 miles. Many other parts not on the bike will go with the sale as well.

I also have rear center stand to work with the swing arm spools, 2 Shoie RF1000 helmets (M), Alpinestars RC-1 black leather jacket (44), Icon Super Duty blue canvas/leather jacket(M), Icon Field Armor Vest (XL), Joe Rocket Textile Jacket(M), Alpinestars GP Pro gloves(XL) and Icon riding shoes.

Call or text if interested 858- nine six seven- 87 two two.

No worries. I loved this bike. Every time I see pictures, I regret selling it. O-well. I'll get another one, one of these days.

The risers are from Outlaw Racing. I believe they are a 2.5in or 3in rise, as tall as I could find with out looking stupid. The bars were an ebay find, again looking for a good amount of rise, with a slight rake, just enough not to hit the tank at full turn.

There is a back issue of a magizie (I for get the name, but I still have it) that does a "how to" on a R1. It gives a huge list of venders and parts to help make the conversion to a street fighter. When I get home I'll look for it.

Here's a couple more pics that show how I ran the cables and wires under the tank, along with the leveling spacers I used under the stock tripple clamp. Let me know if you have any other questions.

no issue in running all the cables? any extentions needed? did you replace the clutch perch? it looks like there is a mirror mount now.

and just for motorcross handlebars?

Nope, no major issues, but a major pain in the ***. Everything is hidden under the tank, or re routed to go under the tank. I used a dremel to cut a little arch way in the tank plastics to match the oppsite side, to help with the clearance of the extra wires. Most of them had to be disconntected, to be rerouted, but no extensions were needed.

Yes, both perches were replaced with mirror mount perches, but they are not necessary. I had bar end mirriors for a while but they have a limited view. Also the brake resi needed a little bracket to be mounted to the brake prech. Some people don't even use resi.
