Default ZX-6R too much bike for a beginner?

Is there a 'lesser' 600 bike from Kawi? In league with the Yamaha YZF600R, Suzuki SV650S, CBR600F3/4?

The 650R is better than the ZX-6R? Hm didn't know that. Someone mentioned the ZZR600 to me I'm going to look into that. The 650R is relatively new right? Probably expensive?

Ninja 650R - MSRP $6,299
ZZR600 - MSRP $7,299

For the price of the ZZR600 you might as well invest in a few hundred dollars more and buy a ZX-6R 636. As long as you dont get crazy, dont ride beyond your abilities and ride at a pace YOUR safe at, the 636 is going to do you just fine. If you're in the market for a super sport motorcycle that is anyway. But, if you're looking for a good comuter bike taht you can take out on the weekends and carve up the canyons, the ZZR600 is for you.

To begin with your original question threw me off. "Lesser" as in what? Handling, classes that you plan on racing? Street? What are you comfy with in a ride?

I don't know I've never ridden before. By lesser, I mean it's a 600 but not crazy fast.. sort of like the Yamaha 600R vs the R6.. both 600, the 600R is much more beginner friendly.
