You guys do realize that I no longer have the ZX7R right? I got rid of her like three weeks ago for my new bike Kitty.....I know the 250 is not a big or cool, but she is newer and Pink.

Damn ... wish I would have known you were selling it. Besides newer and pink - what other reason(s) did you have for giving up the 7? Understand I am not knocking your bike - but the 7 is such a superior ride compared to the 250...
Well she was a '96..... so she was really heavy and hard to stear (um I don't think that is spelled right), I was totally not comfertable on her and I just wanted something to play on, My boyfriend has a new 636 and I really like his bike but I didn't want to spend all that money, so I did a straight trade for the 250.
She is hella fun to ride and if I want a thrill I can just get on Carl's bike (my boyfriend) you guys might know him as Fever.

straight trade on a newer 250? *collapses* babe - you're killin me here. I could have given you cash to buy it and had enough left over for new matching gear...
Ah well - you are right - the 7s always were heavy - but it is part of the reason why I love them so much. Those suckers are planted firmly on the ground, and you really have to work to upset them. One of the only bikes from back in the day that did NOT need a steering damper. The weight and the riding position combined to enable you to do some really awesome carving...
I hope you enjoy the new ride - but please do post more pix of you and the 7 if you can - or the one you have already but bigger... it's the size of an avatar

i paid 4500 for my 01 with 18k miles on it. My 7 doesn't have the power these newer bikes have, but damn it was nice when i went to the dragon. Its definatly a big bike, even stripped down its fing heavy.
Hey,
I'm 5'6" ... short guy ... and i must've sat on 20 different bikes before i found the few that I could get just the ***** of my feet down on. The gixxers, cbr 600 F4i (def not the RR), sv650, and some of the yamahas were pretty much the only 600's i found myself comfortable on. I'd say the best might have been the CBR 600 F4I. You also sit a little more upright on it compared to the other bikes and it's hella fast. Hope this helps.

I sat on a gixxer...don't think it was too bad...and i sat on a Yamaha 1000CC (FZ1 or YZF-R1, can't remmber, but looking at seat height numbers...it was probably the FZ1). The Yamaha felt pretty good...then when the sales guy heard that this would be my first bike, the look of ... are ya nuts went over his face as he quickly showed me a used GS500F. I really didn't sit on too many 1000CC bikes since it was going to be my first bike.
I REALLY like the 2006 yamaha R6. I sat on one yesterday and I can only touch w/ 1 foot on tip toe
That was what I really wanted. I havent sat on any 636 though. All the bike shops around the area are out of sport bikes, new or used.
