Default Are you ready for some football?

Having 15 people over for the game today, got up about 45 minutes ago to start the smoker. Mmmmmmm baby back ribs and Memphis beans with 2 lbs of bacon. If you're gonna take a break from your diet, today is the day.

Also tried out the laptop on the new TV, all I can say is I never want to look at a regular screen again. The wireless mouse and keyboard work from the couch. Now I can surf the forums while still maintaining my couch potato status.

And before anyone says it, yes I have heard that there are universal remote controls, but having to go though all the controls and trying to figure out what turns on what is the only exercise I seem to be getting.

Well I gotta go see how the first smoke is doing. 5 hrs open and then 2 hrs wrapped and BBQ steamed. Oh yes there will be some follow up pics of the aftermath.

Since you are religious and do not eat meat. You need to donate that fine lookin' grub. Oh, thats right, you were cooking that grub for the other 15 attendees. Nice!

I won the office pool for squares. Extra $160 in my pocket... woot.

DEEJ - Get those god forsaken Bose 301's OUT of your surround system. Power hungry, narrow banded antiques that they are.

When you replace them - also widen them out, significantly... so you can get a better laid out soundstage. Call me when you are ready to get serious about your surround.

I think you're a little mixed up there Drag. I may be a religious man, but I wouldn't belong to any religion where meat was banned. Summer months are known around here at my house as "The summer of meat". I've been using the BBQ more in the past few months than I ever have. Besides 80% of my "diet" is now meat. Mayonnaise is also 5%

Good eye there Sro, but don't be hatin man. Those Bose speakers are awesome. But they are not actually part of the true surround listening experience. They are hooked up to the "B" switch. We use them for CD and Radio sound when not watching tv. Again good eye, only an old dude like yourself would have spotted them for what they are.
