Yo Aussies.....What Happened to your dollar..You guys Ok?
I was just doing some late night trading and looked at the Australian Dollar.
Holy crap, in two months you went from almost one to one with the US dollar to 1.6 Aussie dollars to one US Dollar.....wtf, is going on over there?
We are in a recession here ... are things crashing over there....60% in two months is huge.

Good deal ...... didn't get a chance to check yet.
I posted the same thing on four other forums....lots of responses on an Oz phishing forum.....they seem to have some issues developing quickly over there. Some opportunities may be developing.

gone from 95c to 60c (around 30% drop). Anything sourced locally is no different of course but anything from the us of a has got around 30% dearer. From what I hear and read you guys are worse of than us (dunno how true that is). Oil has dropped a lot however our petrol is no bloody cheaper, I guess mainly cause of our dollar?

its not just aussies - iceland currency tanked - the brittish pound is shrinking, the euro is shirinking, the canadian dollar is shrinking (barely worth more than a mexican peso now)
the worlds economies are all tied to the US - and if we go down we take the world with us. the only countries coming out ahead are the 3rd world countries

Actually, all that is happening is what happened to the US dollar a year and a half back - but now in reverse. Believe it or not, the dollar is recovering a bit. The Brazilian Real is experiencing about the same % against the dollar as Australia is.
