cool beans. 6 cylnder is fine. my little dakota only has a four banger but with gas prices like u said im happy with the guttless thang

 

I remember back in high school when everyone had to either have a V8 mustang, camaro, or firebird. If it wasn't one of those, it had to be something else fast, or a jacked up 4X4.

That was only 6-7 years ago.

There was an article I was reading that was talking about the most popular cars that kids want today. Almost all the cars were econo rice boxes. Your average 16 year old appears to not care much about power, as they care about the looks of import cars.
I have nothing against import cars. In fact, I think they're great! I just wonder what happened to these kids 7 years later? I mean, where's the death wish you get with buying a really fast, dangerous car? That's what being a teen is all about!

 

safty and economics is the way of the future no one wants to put their teen in a gas guzzling death machine with no or little air bags.let them buy that stuff on their own when they got a job.

 

Ah, kids these days - I just don't get them. I mean its one thing to have an economical car, blah, blah, blah, but some of the stuff they do to those cars........I dunno. [sm=dontgetit.gif]

I mean my lawn mower sounds better than half of them!

 

Not that it was a firebird but mine was a camero and dam those memories.........

 

lol lol.... Ya, I had a 6 cyl in mine also... Finger prints are actually quite diffucult to get off that rear window!!! lol lol lol

 

[8D] You know in high school I drove a 1965 mustang for a while and drove my 67 OLDS.

My Olds is a #'s matching car.Two door,330,Two speed jet a way.

I still have that car and drove it just a few years ago. And I was in High school 16 years ago!!
My boy gets that ride,just as soon as I finish that 68 Stang w/the 429 C.J......
I think I may have too many toys...???[8D]

 

You can never have too many toys!!! My toy list is short (Firebird, Ninja 500), but I'd love to add a '69 Firebird convertible to that list! Maybe someday!

And Notstock - Camaro's are okay too!! I have memories of those as well (my ex bf had one back in high school, it had a 2.8 in it, but that got kind of blown up - so in went a 283 - what a nice little motor that was )

 

Oh yeah! I had her out for a little rip on Friday to make sure everything was running good - well I was grinning from ear to ear..........until it quit and I had to sit on the side of road waiting for my hubby to come rescue me!

Darn it - got a few little bugs to work out of her before I can drive it. Either need a new battery or alternator and there is a problem with the headlight motors ($$$$$) I hope I don't need to buy new ones [:@]

Oh well - still had a little bit of fun - god that car does wicked donuts!!!
