Well holy crap, I would have never guessed that....I guess I should stick with stationary sources which is my job.

I wonder how the fuel injected bikes hang with the SUVs on a per mile basis...did I say I'm really surprised.

I still can't believe a Hummer getting say 10 mpg and a bike getting 60 mpg has less emissions on a weight basis than the bike........wait a second ..... were the test bikes Harleys.

Well mullet the only thing I can figure is the catalytic converter on cages, I know they filter out a MASSIVE amount of the pollution they produce. I know that motorcycles have some catalytic conversion in the mufflers, but I'm guessing that it's nowhere near as efficient of a filter as those on cages. Mind you this is just a guess, I have no proof or facts of any of this other then what I know of cages and their exhaust systems.

they were testing old used motorcycles that may or may not have been maintained well or tuned up properly and some were 2 strokes?

bull**** - they adjusted the polling set to maximize the results they wanted to get.

compare the new lines of fuel injected bikes against new fuel injected cars. and not just little hybrids, compared them to the F-350's that people commute to work in every day.

i had a 4paragraphs typed and some nut buster shut my comp off

long story (really) short...

bike to car ratio is like 1:30

biggest bike displacement 1352cc's. smallest car displacement 1499cc's

diesel pollute heaviest. most are bigrigs that get less than 10mpg.

diesel filter invented that goes in the catalytic converter, reduces emissions by 90%. not regulated because...????
