Why?
Talk about UNSAFE! Holy pot and black kettle, Batman! What the HELL were doing riding in those temps? What the HELL were you doing riding THAT HARD where you need to put your KNEE DOWN in those temps??? Your tires are not designed to ride in those temps alone - nevermind riding that bloody hard in them. What the hell were you doing riding so hard on regular roads that would require knee down regardless of temps? To quote you: TAKE IT TO THE TRACK! (and for the record - there are no chicken strips on either front or rear tires on my bikes, and it has never required a knee down) DO NOT lecture me or anyone else on this board about elements of danger when you use THIS^^^ as your example to compare against! Back to flawed logic! Your statement above COMPLETELY disqualifies anything else you have to save on the matter. Thank you, drive through.
Moving on....
Speed limit is 65, my speed was 40 ish. Temps were warm, must have got cold at night. I never speed on the street.

Yeah, I saw that shining example above in your black ice with knee down statement. I have required levels of safety for my passengers - minimums. I have refused to take people - including seasoned passengers who I have ridden with and are excellent passengers - if they do not meet those minimums, and they understood and later even thanked me for it. Of course more is desirable - but all my passengers know and accept the risks. We have all seen accidents happen and people get pretty hurt. But - they accept the risk with as much precaution as they can, and we go. The same thing is said for anyone getting into a car - passengers or not.
And guess what? There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT. I understand completely! Yes it is a huge responsibility and yes it causes stress - a truckload of it in fact. I would never fault you for that or for not wanting to take it on. Some people can/do (even if they actually shouldn't because of their own riding ability).
Actually.........hahahah ah hell....

You said earlier you are barely ok with riding 2up on a Wing. You do realize that a Wing is a 920 lb bike, right? Riding 1up with that weight should be considered "dangerous" using your logic - nevermind 2up with the operator trying to manage 1000+ lbs with his arms and legs. If anything - 2up on a Wing should be insanely dangerous, far more than 2up on a sport or cruiser. But - it isn't, due to the fact that it was designed to accommodate a passenger and the additional load. Just like a sport or cruiser is.
Anyhow, in the end - your boy Reg, and my boy Scott are right. Which means I am also not wrong. You should form your opinion based upon Reg, and learn the difference between personal opinion and blanket fact.
Thank you everyone - you've been a great crowd... Goodnight!
Time to ride... 2up even.
I just refuse to take anyone on my bike. I and many others frown upon riders who ride two up. Too much at rish. I explained it above, it is valid and accurate.
