should be fine bro. just make sure you've ridden the bike around your area and it has no issues. i would not worry too much about it being a cruizer and all it should be acomfy ride. thats a good plan tho to leave before everyone else and have a cell phone so if any thing does happen your truck will be along shortly. other then that enjoy the ride!

Would the bike bother any of you? a 28 year old bike? but it only has 6600 miles on it.... im going to ride it alot before this trip.... that would be the only thing that would concern me..... Ill keep you guys up to date..... Not sure if i wanna take the wife for that long on the bike..... she says it would be a cool experience.... but i dont know. she may not be able to handle that long. I think ill be fine.

back tire is bald... new one on order very soon... front tire seems fine.. no cracking or dry rotting... just changed the oil, put a new valve cover gasket on and a new tach cable....

Sounds like you'll be fine. If your usual stuff like the brakes and driveline are in good order, have fun on your trip!

Oh, the only other advice I could give you is to buy a windscreen. getting beaten down by the wind gets very tiring.

I'd be more concerned about riding for 9 hours would do to you. I know when I go on long *** hauls to work, i get fatigued after a while. On a bike it would be torture unless you made quite a few stops along the way Iwould think. I could be completely wrong though...
