I catch em from time to time, not much ya can do about but be as humane as possible about it.

 

Eric's right. Just don't feed the cat. It'll hunt those little buggers down, bite them a few times, just enough so they can't run away too fast, then bat them around with their razor sharp claws, until eventually they succumb to their injuries and the life drains out of them. Go to the light!

That's way more humane than those barbaric traps.
