Warm Up... Mmmm .. Crab Lovers Cajun Bisque
I just made and ate a batch of my favorite crab bisque ...... and I thought some of ya Yankees in the snow and ice could use an easy, quickand awsome Cracker reciepe for sum warm ya up Cajun Bisque.... your girl will reward ya lol
1 lb. crab meat - white or claw (Costco or Sams got em for $12/can)
1 lb. shrimp - small to medium (Don't know if ya can get em raw and frozen Costco has em)
1 can whole kernel corn
2 tbsp. butter
1 cup (each) onions,Green Onions, & celery
1 can cream of mushroom
1 can cream of celery
1 pint half & half
1 pint whipping cream
1 bag POWDERED dried shrimp (bout 6 oz....if ya have to ...go to an oriential market and put dehydtrated shrimp in the blender or coffee grinder, I'm sure deej has one )
2-3 drops Liquid Crab Boil
Salt & pepper or season to taste
1 tsp. or more of hot sauce
Saute onions, tops, & celery in butter. When onions caramalize, add cream of mushroom, cream of celery, corn, whipping cream, half & half, and stir until well blended over low to medium heat. Cook 5-10 minutes stirring occassionally to avoid sticking. Then, add powdered shrimp and crab boil and stir until well blended. Then, add crab & shrimp and let cook until shrimp are done. DON'T OVER COOK.....if ya want to save it cool quickly an put in the fridge...it's usually better day two and three.
Try it and post what ya think.

damn that sounds good, but with my cooking skills it would turn out bad. This is what happens when I try to make cereal.

asz Ya can do it....just leave the burner on LOW at all times.....just takes a little longer to soften up the onions. A good girl really appreciates a man that can cook a little on occasion.
