Default Venting Frustration

Now i am not asking for a lecture on safe riding cause i know the importance of it and took the safety class. just wanting to know if anyone else does it. i know theres got to be some stunters here besides me.

Ok here goes i work 3 twelve hour days 7am-7pm then get 3 days off and then i work 7pm-7am and off 3 days again and then repeat it over and over well you get the point.. I got off the other night 7pm after havinga terrible day at work and i mean terrible. any way i went to second job and worked 2 hours and night just got worse well to make it even worse got in a fight with wife over some thing stupid. i got geared up well bout 11pm and tore my azz to Dallas to terrorize the streets. Anyways when i have bad days i seem to like to ride like that. anyways was just wandering if any body else vents frustration that way?

I can say that if I am out ridding pissed off I will go faster and be more aggressive. Probably not smarter though.

Hey post some stunting pics if you got them. I like watching you guys, I am impressed by the control it takes to do some stunts. I don't like the thrashers though. Guess I feel sad for the bikes [&o]

i used too. i used to take my anger out on my bike and evryone around me. but i've gotten close to losing my life a couple of times... so i figured it was time to find some help to deal with my anger. that way i don't put anyone or myself in harms way. you have a wife and i'm sure she worries about you everytime you get on your bike... can you imagine how much more she worries when you get on your bike mad? i'm not trying to tell you what to do. but just think about your actions and what the out come my be if something were to happen.... i have a son and i think about him when i get mad and want to get on my bike to release some anger.... I can't even imagine how it would be like for him to grow up with out his dad.... i don't know if you have any kids, but you do have a wife.. and i'm sure you don't want to put her through that kinda of hell.... so just slow down take a breath and work it out. it's not worth putting your life on the line and anyone else.... ride safe brother.....

on the one hand I can sure relate to getting on the bike after a hard day, and blowing off some steam!! But then again, I'm in my late 30's, and although I like to twist the throttle, I've settled down a little, so blowing off steam for me isn't the same now as it would have been 15 years ago....I agree with MadKaw, riding takes a clear head, not a pissed-off one, and you do increase the risk of something bad happening if you're riding harder from anger. With me it only takes a few short blasts to clear my head of the worst of my day. I guess like anything else, you have to be the judge of what is safe and what isn't.....and yeah, being considerate of the wife's feelings/fears is always a good thing!! Stay safe!!

Last week I was planning on going out for a rip and my hubby and I got into it over something dumb. I had my gear on and was pretty much ready to go but I decided not to. I have a daughter as well, and the last thing I want is for her to grow up without a mom, so I stayed home instead - went out for a ride the next night.

I personally don't think it is a good idea to go out ticked off, Mad Kaw hit the nail on the head by saying riding takes a clear head.

But please do post some pics of you stunting if you have some, be cool to see!

Well, I have read every one coments about ridding and letting off some steem. I see everyones point but do it my self. I do ride when I am mad because if I stay home I will on;y get depressed. I take a trip to the beach where I can take a brack and enjoy the fresh air. I know that every one knows what safe ridding is but come on lets be honest we all have done it or still do unsafe things on our bikes. No one rides 100% safe. If that where the case no one would ride we are all obviousle risk takers and love the addrenalin. Bo as long as your not doing weelies on the high way your ok in my book. But deffinitly try to clear your head. I put on my I-pode with all the latest music into my chatter box and chill to the sound of the beat. I love to dance and love to ride so I try to mix them both up but not dancing on my bike of course. I also don't have a hubby or kids so I just tend to live in the moment and not worrie about things like that. So I understand that there are other poeple who do care if you where God forbid to get in to an accedint. Just do what you know you should do and ride safe.

Good point about us being risk takers, Vasmel22, and yes, I'm sure we've all riden when our heads weren't quite on straight. It's all about using our heads, and not putting ourselves or others in any more danger than necessary...A good blast can definitely clear our heads and blow off some steam, and that's a good thing. The point is just not to take it too far.....

I think there is a big difference between riding when you are mad, and riding mad. Also a lot of difference in unwinding when you ride after a hard day too. Sometimes nothing is more relaxing than the wind ripping into your face at 65mph. hehehe

Seriously though - if you ride mad when you are mad, then it is only a matter of time. If you think you are invincible when you ride mad, and go out and do things you know damn well you would never do if you were just out for a cruise, then that is likely to be your undoing. I know I have done it myself, and thankfully I realized when I crossed the edge of control & not giving a damn if something were to happen to me and reeled it back in. It is a dangerous and addictive thing to skirt the edge of control when you are pissed off at the world... if you can ride while mad but not ride mad - then use it to unwind... but don't use it to get your revenge.

well i understand all concerns and yes i agree wit most, but most time when i blow off steam i hit the roads where its just me and the road. personaly i dont like the idea of someone running me over for my stupidity. and when i ride i keep the speed under 130 most of the time. of course i live on the outer edge of dallas so theres not all that much traffic out here. And yes i will get some vids up when i get a new camera. i lost it off the bike at about 80mph and it shattered
