Default tooth problems

Ok well heres the deal. I had a tooth break a couple years ago....and got a root canal and a temp filling. Was supposed to go back and get a crown....but lost dental insurance and didnt have the $800 for a crown. Now my problem is the same...still no insurance, but now the tooth/filling is slowly starting to fall apart. I would go to mexico this week, but have **** to do....and might not be able to get there next week due to my schedule. Anyone have a way besides pliars that might work? Oh and its a molar....so that just makes it even harder. Im thinking maybe like wire or fishing line?
