If you are going to ride you better pack up and move south. If I had to look at the rex for more than a week with out riding her I would go nuts. Wait Im already nut's ok dont know what I would do.

I keep the bike locked up in the shed, so if I want to look at it, I have to walk all the way out to the shed, in the cold.....the bike doesn't get very many visits from me . It's not so bad if you don't see it every day. I'll live (I hope!).

Take it. You do it on your own bike. I don't know about other places, but when I took it, the instructor left a lot of debris on the parking lot, sand, dirt, puddles. Made you really pay attention to the road.

Geez, time goes by fast, only 42 days to go now! Anyways, on your MSF course in the US, what sort of things do you have to bring/supply?

Here the bike is supplied ( I won't have to worry about mine getting scratched up for at least three days!), you have to bring an approved helmet, gloves that cover and protect the wrist, boots that cover and protect the ankle, rain gear, have to wear denim or leather pants and either a denim, leather or ballistic nylon jacket.

Also at the end of my course here, I have the option to take the test to get my license for a bike under 500cc (I think that is the limit, we have two seperate endorsements for motorcycles, if you want to test for the higher cc bikes, you have to supply the bike).

Had a friend who just took the course. She had to bring a helmet, though they did supply one, gloves, jacket, boots, denim jeans. They provided the bike, Honda Nighthawk 250.

She had her learners permit already. Once she took the class she took her certificate to the DOT here in Texas and she got her license. No further test needed. And its good for all size bikes[sm=gears.gif]

She had a blast and said she wishes the class was longer

It would be nice if they didn't have two seperate classes of motorcycle licenses here. Oh well, I'm just going with the lower class for the time being since by bike is a 500, right now I can't see me moving up in cc's for a while. I figure in a few years, I'll just buy a brand spanking new EX500 (or 500R whatever they call it by then!).

Time is going by too fast, in order to get my license at the end of the course, I have to do a written exam first. Anyways, I do that tomorrow morning. I'm excited about all this, but am starting to get nervous [sm=smiley9.gif]
