i am a cynic so i said hoax. but i do think it is possible, there is a lot of wilderness in the US and evenb species of animals that we KNOW exist and sometimes even though were extinct ocassionally get a siting somewhere, but largely go unseen for many many years at a time.

Well, I'm sure if in fact they do exist, that they are very wiley creatures to avoid humanity all these years. They may be smarter than us!
