Started Work Today!
So today was my first day, got to meet my co workers and see the job i will be acually getting into tomorrow and did all the saftey stuff and orientation. All i can say is im glad i got this job, it looks like a start to a great career for me, and they all like me already, my boss is cool as heck, he took me out to lunch with him my first day, bought me Applebees lunch, and we pretty much talked about cars and the job lol, oh did i mention, HE DRIVES A GTP! LOL, i couldnt help myself but go on about the Grand Prix with him, he was stunned to hear all the things i knew about them, then i told him about my GTP and he was shocked, it was awesome, today was a good day, cant wait for more good days at the job, and the cash flow i will be recieving.

Congrats on the new Job Jeremy, I remember all of my jobs, and I was just as excited as you were. I had to go through a few before I got the ones I really enjoyed.
1.5 years in a limber mill
1.5 years as an apprentice electrician
1.5 years as an electrician/veneer lathe operator
4 years at a lumber mill
4 years in hospital maintenance
Currently 14 years as a maintenance Mechanic II for the University of Washington.
Oh and from the hospital job to my current job was the only time I had ever quit a job to go to another one.
If you can build a career in one place and be happy, you are way ahead of the game my friend.
