Some pictures from my super kewl awesome job! =)
I decided to post some pics from my job because although I've been there for 3+ years I never cease to stop being amazed by what I do for a living.
Picture from atop our Goliath crane. Not sure how high up it is but its pretty freakin high.

To put how high in prospective for you, this is one of our Clyde cranes. These cranes are about 250 ft high.

Back when I used to build scaffold. Thats me on the bottom passing stuff up.

This is what happens when you fall off the scaffold and onto the bulbs (steel T beams that go across steel for stability and strength purposes) from about 15 ft. Luckily for me I was in pretty good shape at the time and was barely affected by the fall.

Cruise ship Carnival Fantasy on dry dock.

Stupid Sign on the cruise ship Fantasy. LOL!

Where the steel goes before they are assembled into units.

My instrument I survey with and the ship I am helping build

That really tall crane I was on top of and the ship I am building.

Freakin Huge tire on that cherry picker!!!

Engine that blew out on the Norwegian Cruise Lines Norwegian Spirit.

Me welding

Me freezing my nutz off at work!

We;ve had quite a few ice breakers come in here for repair. The most recent job we did on an ice breaker was on the ICEMAIDEN. We converted it from an icebreaker to a floating hotel. Let me tell ya, that boat was a piece of crap! Rust was everywhere. I really believe those people would have come out cheaper if they would have straight up built another ship lol.
I hope you chose NCL or Royal Carribbean cuz Carnival isn't the best way to go. If you are on a Carnival ship I STRONGLY advise you drink bottled water. All the things you hear about on TV from people getting sick on cruise ships is from the potable water tanks not being cleaned and maintained properly. Just a little bit of caution for my biker friend.
