Metallica was great until about the load/reload albums, their garage inc stuff was great (for covers) then they got back to their roots with St. Anger.

What's up with Jason Newstead "retiring" from rock then showing up with Tommy Lee on TV judging wannabe rockstars? Teaming up with tommy lee has to be like career suicide these days. He has gone through more new bands than trashy band hoes.

Once they got fairly popular with the 'mainstream' and all the jocks and stuff started listening to them - I kind of was disappointed.......mind you I still love their old stuff - some of the new stuff is alright..... Too bad that Newstead left, he was good, but couldn't come close to Burton. I don't know what to think of the SuperNova thing, heck they don't even have a singer yet!!

Here's another one for ya (I do like this one, kind of catchy!!)

"You arrived, but now it's time to kiss your *** goodbye
Dragging me down
Why you around?
So useless"

No problem!!!!! Could be worse, you could be like me and have the majority of your collection on cassette - it would take me days to get mine onto something usable!!!

btw that song........Ain't My Bi$$h

If i wasn't such a tech geek I'd probably still have all my stuff on cassette, but I started upgrading to CD's when they were the new thing, now all my music is going digital...But I still have a couple hundred CD's that still need to be converted.

Have you heard anything by Rise Against? They are my new favorite band at the moment. At first I was kinda lukewarm on them but after listening to their singles a couple of times, I totally hooked.

Oh, and if you like the doors try the band "Tea Party" I saw them live when I lived in Connecticut, they have great music (very doors like) and the lead singer looks and sounds like Jim Morrison.
