Default sell or rebuild?

Hey what's up fellas? A friend of mine is selling his 1999 R6 for 500 bucks..It's been in an accident and debating wether to put it back together or just part out the ****? It comes with a 2 bro's exhaust from the back to the head and is in the good condition..he wrecked into a pole tearing off the headlight and front fairings..i'm in a debate right now. the engine only has 15k miles on it and everthing else looks pretty cool! I need someone's 2 cents to help me decide thanks.[:@]

Post some pics of it so we can see for ourselves just how bad it is. If you can find all the parts you need off eBay, or at a motorcycle junkyard for not too much money, then go ahead and fix it. Otherwise, you could make a killing by auctioning off the bike parts.

Hell just buy it. The engine alone is worth that... Ebay everything else if you don't want to restore it.

500? I'd buy it... if anything... if you can buy another bike (so you have 2 R6's)that needs motor/tran work... out of 2 bikes, make 1 Or, when I wrecked my R6- Instead of putting it back together completely, I should have simply turned it into a track bike-or stunt machine- I did enjoy finding all the bits and pieces and making it run hard again! That was a fun month- well, except for the gashes &bruised ribs
