Making a trip from out here in Midland Texas over to Houston. Will be cutting through the hill country to avoid the interstate travel. Riding either the 250sf or the klx650, havent decided yet. Anybody know of some trails along the way or want to meet up somewhere? Will be taking highways TX 158, US 87, US 290.

Any recommendations on gear to bring for the trip? I have 2 extra liters of fuel, small tool kit, food/water. Spare tire tubes or anything else needed?

 

might be making this into a 2 day trip each way if I find enough places to explore not too far out of the way. Thinking of checking out the the 'marble falls run' on the way down there and the 'ole 20' road between Elgin and Giddings.

Have a tube patch kit/CO2 canisters along with spare clutch/brake levers going as well.
