Yes and no... In the last 5 years I have seen Bon Jovi (like 4x), Def Leppard (2x), Journey (hey shut it - they had some good tunes), Poison, Foreigner, and in a few months I will be seeing Van Halen
LONG LIVE BIG HAIR BANDS!

LONG LIVE BIG HAIR BANDS!
ORIGINAL: deej
Ok now come on guys remember that we all fell for the lures of the neon pin-striping and wild colors. I found an old picture from 88, that's my 86 Ford Ranger, and my Suzuki LT250R Quadracer, what were we thinking?[8D][8D][8D]
I was just going to say that when I went to My Aunt and Uncle's house which was in the big city of Longview Wa, 4 hours from home, back in 1983 I had bought these parachute/hammer pants before hammer was....well....hammer. I actually got them at a swap meet in Tacoma a few weeks earlier, well anyway I get down there to look for work, and I pull up in the driveway in my 71 Firebird, and my cousin and a friend of his who were probably 10 years old or there abouts, came out to see who was there and when I got out of the car they realized that all three of us were wearing the same pants. I don't mean parachute pants in general, I mean the exact same color and pattern, you know the wild green/black/yellow/white, and whatever color they felt like throwing in there at the time.. Here is the funny part, (as if that wasn't funny enough) see I bought mine new at a swap meet and my Aunt went to a fabric store and bought the same bolt (I think that's a roll of fabric
and she actually got a pattern and made a pair for her son and his friend. What were the chances?
And thus ends another installment of back in the day by deej. Stay tuned next week for the story of how I added highlights to my hair to match my soon to be wife 15 years ago.[8D] We also used to do the dishes together before we got married. Funny how that works.
Oh P.S. I have a picture of me in those pants with the boys somewhere, now that would be funny to post.
UPDATE!!! UPDATE!!! UPDATE!!! OMG, I just found that picture I was telling you about, and I can't believe I am about to post it, somebody stop me please? Dang too late I hit the OK button, OK let the jokes fly. But remember it was the style back then. Sheesh here goes.
