Default Really cool guitarist.

I play guitar, and have heard some really good players, but this guy has a truly unique style that I've never seen before. His name is Erik Mongrain.

that is pretty crazy. i've seen guys tap on acoustic guitars like that before, but they played the guitar like normal and didn't use finger tapping like that

well, a few.

Rhett Butler two-handing Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody.. in it's entirety. ALL parts as well..

and, another fave, Chris Broderic. formerly of Megadeth, and guitarist for a rack of metal and shred bands, including Jag Panzer and Nevermore.

Mozart's "Ronda Alla Turka" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xohcxxt6oHo

Caprice No.7 Op 20, Luigi Legnani http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HScho...eature=related

J.S. Bach's Double BWV 997 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-ze51lEt3w&NR=1

one of chris' ridiculous *** uber sweepy tapped arpeggio scales to make your ears bleed... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xkpZ6...eature=related

i could list killer guitarist all night..

i'll suggest looking up the UBER ultra hot she-shredder Lori Linstruth, (i'd drink her bathwater), Yngwie malmsteen, and my personal favs, Paul Gilbert and Jason Becker.

but anyway, ya. 8 finger tapping is wicked hard. when i get a camera with good audio, i'll post up some of the stuff i've been wrking on, got this wicked *** slightly arpeggiated, uber spread chord progression in minors that'll blow yer mind. also figured out how to tap the whole thing. its scary fast and still sounds classical..

now, mind you, this is an absolute sonic atrocity. about 40 seconds into it, i crank the treble up as a test.. it was all the way down. it's 1 am-ish, and this plain sucks, but it'll at least prove i might shred if i was awake and had a good setup tonally... that little scale i'm workin on is in there, but i don't tap it out til the end, and it's real sloppy cuz i didn't take my time, and i'm tired..

like i said.. very, very tinny and sounds like garbage, IMO, but i'll post it anyway cuz i don't really care at (now..) 2:30am.
