Default Pretty sad day.....

geez, I just found out today that my best friends' older brother just got hit on his Harely coming home from dinner last night. This is in south fl/deerfield beach. It was on the same road that my uncle got hit by a drunk driver at night coming home from the gym on his Harely. This sux! he was a reaally good kid, only 28. Now I have lost 4 friends on motorcycle accidents. Only one was at fault by driving home drunk. But last night he was completly sober, not even breaking speed. Some lady just pulled out in front of him.

I plan on moving back home after i graduate from FSU and I think Im going to have to reevaluate keeping my zx636. Its just so dangerous down there, because there are so many places to ride to. At least up here at fsu I just use it for school. Man lost my uncle and now this, crap just sux man. I might just decide to just give it up and get into what i really am interested in to meet my adrenaline needs (car racing at the track)

Guys ride safe and be carefull at night, people just dont look and it hard to see a little bike headlight. try to ride in groups to be more visible. This is just another wake-up call that life is so precious and we are not invincible. Every time I ride to school it just goes through
my head, "BE CAREFULL" RIDE SAFE Fellow riders!!!!!!!

Well I'm sorry to hear about your friend, that sux bro I really hope that you and everyone around him will be able to deal with his loss with the least amount of pain possible.. I know everyone has a time to go and this just isnt what you want to hear, but he died doing sumin he enjoyed. No matter how dangerous it is he did it you do we all do it. I dont think you should give it up just for the fact that its dangerous. I mean if its our time to go ther is nothing we can do about it. ie: car, plane, bike, train, even walking down the street. I see where you are coming from though and I'm not tryin to tell ya whats best, just telling it how it is or the way I see it. This is jmo so if I sounded like I came of wrong sorry I'm not trying to.... My condolences to his friends and family

that sux man =/

That's why I always wear gear (and i have a white coat) and always ride with my hi-beam on. Doesnt sound like much, but every little counts. I might get some reflective decals as well.

Hey honey I am soo sorry for your's and the family's loss.....can't imagine how you feel. Do us and your lost friends a favor and post this accident on the AMA'S " And justice for all" site http://www.amadirectlink.com/justice/ They are trying to stiffen the penalties of car vs. MC accidents. If any of you hear of an accident like this pls. post it here too. Maybe we can make some of these vehicles be aware of us on 2 wheels. Again I am truly sorry for your loss.

That sux bro. I am sorry to hear of it. I'm sure if he had to choose a way to go, being on the bike is better than a nursing home, ya know. 4 friends, dang bro... It does show you how short life is, all the more reason for me to be out on my ride. Enjoy it now, and please accept mine and my family's condolensces...

sorry to hear. We have some great people here if you need to vent. And even if you decide to give up the bike you are still welcome here.
