Please read! Stolen 636 in Tampa Bay!
Hello fellow riders,
This is my first time to the forum....unfortunately, it's to post some real bad news.....
On March 21, 2006 my 2005 Ninja 636 was stolen between 2 am and 6 am. I live in Port Richey, FL, in an apartment complex. It was most likely 2-3 guys with a pickup truck who cut the cable lock with bolt cutters and lifted the bike into the truck. Please - if you hear anything about a new bike or parts on the market from the Tampa Bay area....
The bike is blue, w/ mirrored shield and SHORTENED KICKSTAND to lower the bike. If anyone has ANY information or su****ions, PLEASE let me know. I miss my baby....I'm sure you all can relate!
I am willing to pay a $500.00 reward for any info that leads to the recovery of the bike and/or the arrest of the thieves...

UCK That sux!!! I'd be out for blood!!!!! Hate to say it but...........keep your eye open on Ebay. I know alot of the "parts" are stolen. Good luck, I hope you find your baby.
Sorry to hear about the theft streetchick. I'll definitely keep an eye out on e-bay and craigslist and any such local ads. I hope your insurance covers the theft but still being without a ride for a while really sucks. [&o]
sorry to hear about your bike.... i'm all the way in california, but i'll still keep my eyes open.... does the bike have any other marks to make it stand out? like scratches on the body or stickers, you know things like that... maybe a pic would help too.... sorry again about your baby....
Thank you for the support and sympathy guys. The bike is only 2 months old with no scratches, scuffs, etc. As I mentioned before, it does have a mirrored (silver) shield and we had the bike lowered (I'm kinda short...) so they cut the kickstand down at the bike shop. I don't have any photos on my harddrive, but the bike is pretty much stock. Thanks again.
sorry bout the bike and like MK i'm on the west coast, but we will keep an eye out 4 ya......No money needed willing to help out onother person is good enough 4 me. good luck there StreetChick.
Sorry to hear it StreetChick. I live a little south of you in Ft. Myers and it's happened to 2 of my friends.
A guy had his '02 Gixxer 1k stolen from his front yard while he was home. The thieves dragged the bike down his gravel driveway. He had the bars locked. Threw it in a pick up. He found it at the mechanic who does his work. One of the guys who stole it wanted to have it stretched and lowered. Lucky for Steve his mechanic reconized it.
Another girl I know had an '05 ZZR 600 and an '06 636 stolen in about 6 months apart. The ZZR was never found, but the 636 she got back with minimal damage. She lives in an apartment complex also.
Like most have said, check Ebay for parts for sale. If you have any bike mechanic friends, have them keep their eyes open. Some thieves are dumb enough to take it to one. ( see above).
I'll keep an eye out down here. You never know.
