Pig Roast/Motorcycle Races/Bear Hunting/New Trail
Wow!! This has got to be one of the best days ever!! Like the title says, all in one day we had a pig roast, races, bear hunting, and I found a new trail. It all started out with a half pig roast at the sportsman's club. Pig started at 6:00am and pulled off around noon. Warning lots of pictures, but hey its all good right?
MMMMMM PORK!
Then at 2:00 it was time to head to the races.
Track prep the day before.
The KLX sitting outside the gate Oh and I saw another KLX in town with a new paper license plate. I should have stopped to talk to the riders, there were 6 bikes at the pizza place. Oh well.
Hey look its the Titanic
OK this next series of pictures really show off the new camera. I put it on the 3 pictures per second, and I was able to take them through an open gate. I thought these were really good shots. These guys battled all day, the guy in the front took first place over all. He's a really good rider, and actually they both are.
I have been real happy with the camera so far. Well anyway, I ended the day at 6:00 heading up to do a little pistol hunting looking for the bear I saw a few weeks back, and found a new trail. Check it out.
Hey look the water tank for town, I used to live pretty close to this thing, now I knew where I was.
Hmmmmm that town looks familiar.....oh yea never mind[8D]
Heading back home.
Hey look the ever popular classic self portrait using the mirror, I always wanted to do one.
Some of the pictures turned out a little blurry, it was actually getting late in the day and I put it on the available light mode, but they still turned out grainy, oh well.
Mileage check.
LOL check out the trip meter, 10 miles, and this was half way home almost.
Entrance.
And this last picture shows a typical DNR gate. At the pig roast I talked to a DNR employee, and it turns out that they are going to start actually letting motorcycles and quads ride around the gates legally. They are even going to go as far as posting signs letting people know that its OK to go around the gates. Yeeeeee Haaaaa, finally the "public" Lands will actually be used by ......................the public.
Notice the easy get around the gate trail. If you build it they will find a way around it, so you might as well let them ride on it.
Well that's it, again sorry if you have dial up, or if you just don't like long picture threads, but I like them so I thought maybe there are a few on here that do also. Later guys.
