Looks great - that's a skill I wish I had - to be able to change the color of something at will. That's awesome! I'd like to paint my helmet, but I'm a little chicken I'll totally screw it up.

Can't wait to see the rest ... thanks for the teaser.

Thanks man - I saw your work on that and I thought it looked damn good. Once I get the nerve up, I'd like to do it myself so I'll learn a little in the process though. Maybe I'll experiment on my kid's $20 bmx helmet

Is "wet sanding" just what it sounds like? Ok, from that question, you now realize just how much I don't know

i guess ima have to do a how to eventually. Yeah wetsanding is exactly what it sounds like....keep the piece and the sandpaper wet. I personnally like a spray bottle to keep the pieces wet. and u usually go up to about 2000-2500 grit paper. That helmet actually was done completely by rattle can....which if u get good paint will look just like a spray gun...as you saw.

oh and the reason im resisting wanting to do a how to...its all done by sight for me....i dont measure my paints and mixes. Also everyone has their own technique
