Well heres the story... There is this shop that opened up down the steet, called Yamaha 99. I always thought the R1 and the R6 looked pretty cool so I had to take a looksy... well I was disapointed, they really dont look all that great when compared to our Kawa's. (not a bad thing). Dont get me wrong they are nice machines, but it almost looks like it was pieced together... ie: how the gas tank is half metal n plastic (on the outside only of course)... I didnt like the ramair tubes showing on the sides and a few other minor things... but hey, I guess everything cant be is nice as a KAWASAKI!!!

 

i finally saw the R6 up close..... and man that thing is ***** on the corner got beat up by a ten foot long ugly stick, ugly.......the side fairings look like crap.... i don't know what the hell they were thinking with that two tone color combo... behind the gauges where the back of the head lights are is flat, it looked like someone didn't want any shape back there... and that sore thumb of a plate holder... [sm=wtf.gif] if you ask me the whole bike looks [sm=lame.gif]....

 

All the girls around here that just started biking last year are ditching their 500's and seem to be getting R6's - [sm=dontgetit.gif]

Personally I don't like them either! And at the risk of making me an outcast, I like the look of the Honda 599 and thought I wouldn't mind having that (but since they came out with the 650R, I have changed my mind!)

Like lemac said, not everything can be as nice as a Kawi!

I have to admit. I do like the R6, but not the new one. I talking '99. I loved the R6 then, but the new ones do absolutly nothing for me. I love my 636 and I love the new 636. I have been on this new kick though. I'm really getting into the big boys, zx10r. We will see!

 

Like I said... dont get me wrong the yama's are great bikes for sure... but, to me they do nothing for me cosmetic wise... the r1 more so than the r6 when compared to the kawa's... suzuki seems to like there style since it seems to never change, but honda is starting to come back from the pack.
