That looks almost identical to a house I had to remove 3 kids from while still a cop. I was dispatched to a welfare check when one of the neighbors who had been complaining about the stench for quite some time called 911 and said the kids were living in unsafe conditions. I could smell the rank almost a half block away. When the mom opened the door I almost fell over from the smell... I caught just enough of a glimpse of the piles of trash and **** laying around to give me probable cause to enter on basis of child welfare and endangerment. I called CPS and a few other officers over, and even the prosecutor to find out if he wanted us to book the lady on child endangerment. He stepped into the livingroom, looked at me and said, "hook her".
The house ended up getting demolished about a year later after the county seized it and her kids ended up better off with relatives. The mom was sentenced on felony endangerment charges and is likely still rotting away. Good riddance.
