they don't make it - they've had a few concepts and made a concept of a non-leaning trike, as did VW. the VW one is rumored to be slated for a 2008-2009 release at about 17K, but they also use car engines.

the peugot uses the FWD turbo mini engine with 168 hp and weighs 1100 lbs

the vw is rwd

the trike shouldn't cost me much.
I do need a second front wheel to match the one on my 95zx6r.
i'll be using the stock headling front and center but supplamenting it with a fog/driving light on each front fender (so they point where the wheels point)
it'll require a little welding, some custom rigging of an electric reverse, some body work. but most of it comes from the bike.

I've seen the VW three wheel wonder before. Just wondering how you would plan on getting your hands on a concept vehicle.

Are you going to be doing molds of the body work your self or does a company sell it as a "kit" and you put it together with the drive train of choice. It sounds to me like you are going to be fabing all the stuff on your own.

yeah i'll be fabbing... its not my first work with composites.
I've also got the benefit of a 2 part sprayed polyurethane foam machine to create the form.
I've worked with fiberglass, kevlar, and carbon fiber. kevlar is actually really nice to work with if you have the right sheers to cut it with. normal scissors won't cut it. carbon fiber is annoying because its stiffer than glass or kevlar so it doesn't like to follow tight contours.

the welding isn't a big issue i've been welding stuff on the side for about 7 years. mostly custom exhaust and frame repair related.

the hardest part is probably going to be taking a heatgun to the lexan to curve it for the windscreen

I'm hoping that it'll turn out real nice and i can justify selling copies of the plans and body shells.
