yea im not exactly sure how its considered a sport but i still watch it every weekend. i even find try and leave drill early to watch it. But it is the only "event" that you have to do good in to get money. unlike football, where you get a good check even if you play like crap.

I know it may not look to thrilling and stuff as a spectator but when you are flurting with high speeds and the car on the edge of being out of control that to me is an addrenaline rush. When you can come up to the back end of the guy or gal in front of you and get them loose to pass them and not have them crash it is some talent involved.

 

I like Nascar and have for many years. Its just another form of racing and to be the one at the end of a 500 mile race and win takes some skill form both driver and machine. Some luck too some races are won on fuel management.

I have also run a Wiston West car at California speedway at 155 and it is fun as hell. 30 laps each time out. Would go faster but they have a rev limiter in the dam thing.

Bottom line is that to go lap after lap and always be running your perfect line for both speed and tire management is tough. Then to get an engine to run full out for 500 miles with out breaking down or loosing power is a feat in itself as well.

For me it’s just racing and I love all types, bikes, road rally, Neckcar, IRL, formula 1 ect. If it’s got wheels then it can be raced and may the best or smartest win.

Never raced legally in a car but it sounds like a blast on a track. And as they always say to each their own. Some dig it and some don't. I am one of those that do. Going to Vegas in March to see the race in person. First Cup Race andI even have cold pit passes. Man I am spoiled.
