does the motorcycle safety foundation course provide the motorcycle so that you can take the course or do u have to have your own motorcycle?

hmm, most that have taken the school have said that they have provided the ex250 rides. Maybe it all depends on your locale?

they provide the bikes unless your doing an advanced course that requires you to be on your own moto.

The MSF course I took provided 250cc bikes for everyone but I think they'd let you use your own bikeif you had one. I didn't want to buy one until I'd actually taken the course and gotten my license.

Yeah, they provide the bikes. The class is meant to teach people who have never ridden before, and therefore wouldn't have a license anyway to ride their own bike to the class.

Here in Washington and I'm sure its the same in most states, you can't use your own bike to take the beginners class, and for the advanced class you have to use your own bike and prove you have insurance.

It depends on your location. The MSF course I took did not provide motorcycles for the students, but I think that's just because mine was on a military post. On every other post that I've been stationed, the students were required to provide their own motorcycles.
