Default KTM--Husky........same company?

I was just talking to a friend of mine on-line that rides a KTM and he says that KTM bought out Husky a couple of years ago, is that true? If so how come nobody here has mentioned it. At least Nobrakes.......Brian did you know this? I'm confused.

Your right Brian, he just said so, that was a close one He got the names mixed up, so I guess this thread should disappear before I embarrass myself even more.[8D][8D][8D]

I'm sure Jack Penton is rolling in his grave. (He was the pioneer of killer dirt bikes back in the 60's, which then became KTM.) Anybody on this site have a Penton? I used to DROOOL over their bikes. The Jackpiner? THAT was a bike.

Check the new 2009 Husaberg FE450 - truly a work of art. Husaberg is back! I hope some of the technology finds its way into the KTM lines. I'm thinking maybe KTM is using Husaberg as their high end R&D branch now and they will cherry pick the technology and put it into the higher production volume KTMs once it's been proven out in the 'Bergs.
