Can you not tell who created the fake login name by their IP address? Match it up with that of one of the other active members. I figure there are probably just a handful of suspects to check.

And don't worry zzrick, you didn't miss anything, it was pretty lame and uninteresting. Even by our standards and that's not saying much.

If there is a way to see a members IP address, please tell me where. I don't know how.

 

Most of these forums have the ability to do that. That's how they ban by IP address to keep someone from coming back time and again. At least until they figure out how to get a new IP address. I don't know how KF does it in particular. Could be that it's not available except to admins.

 

People don't know how to change their ip? It's easy...but I'm not gonna let Deej get me for "aiding and abetting"

Ok deej, I'm a long time mod on my phishing forum, we have a zero tolerance policy for bs.

Not sure if I should tell ya.....but I could get around any block ya put up.

To find an IP....go to a thread where they have posted next to the quote and edit there are some icons, one is a triangle with a question mark. Click on that and you can see the ip of where they posted that comment from, along with that there is a section that will show you all users who have posted from that ip address. Admin can block that function to some mods if they choose to.

To block IP...it is easy with .htaccess

Just put
