IPOD Trouble

IPOD Trouble
Anyone here ever have trouble with their ipod on the bike? Recently started using the wifes old ipod video. Loaded it up with tunes and Ive been playing with different headphones etc. The other day I had a long ride to the beach and of course it is 100+ degrees out. I put the ipod in a bag strapped to the bar clamp, so it vibrates a little but is in direct sunlight. 3 times the ipod stops working, so when I stop and check it, the screen is still lit but controls wont work and no sound. I had to take the back cover off, unplug the batt to get it to work again. Like I said, happened 3x til I said screw it.
I cant figure if its the heat or vibe or a combination of both? Battery is new and I never have problems with it any other time? Anyone else have similar issues and know of a solution?

Hell, honestly, I would strongly recommend NOT wearing anything which interferes with your road awareness. Call me old and stodgy; I've seen too many instances of riders (THROUGH NO FAULT OF THEIR OWN) getting slammed by cagers who were not paying attention.....a-hem,.....maybe listening to their IPODs.
Be careful, man.
Be careful, man.

I took a capture shot of this on my Grand Canyon ride, I think this was across the Nevada Desert somewhere, I think the 103 degree temps might have had something to do with it. LOL
